She is the sister of Ronnie Wavehill and Steven Long. Biddy grew up at the station and worked in the stockman’s quarters when she was a young woman. She met her husband, Jimmy Wavehill Ngawanyja, at the station, and they travelled around, working on many different cattle stations including Limbunya, Waterloo, Argyle, Ivanhoe, Bow River, Mable Downs, Spring Creek and Nicholson before returning to Limbunya. Biddy and Jimmy now live at Kalkaringi with their 10 children, 24 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Biddy has been heavily involved with Gurindji language and culture documentation projects with Felicity Meakins, Erika Charola and Lauren Campbell, including the dictionary and ethnobiology compilation. She is also a director of the Karungkarni Art and Culture Aboriginal Corporation. She paints her Dreamings, including ngawa (water), janginyina (lightning), wampana (spectacled hare wallaby) and yarrkankurna (white cockatoo). In 2011, Biddy represented the region in the development of designs for the Katherine Region Cultural Precinct, and in 2013 Biddy represented Karungkarni Arts at Megalo Printmaking Studios in Canberra.
