The bush medicine research was undertaken as a part of the Central Land Council (CLC) ranger program. Research was conducted by Wilemina Johnson Frith Nangari, Ursula Chubb Nangala, Helma Bernard Nalyirri, Philip Jimmy Yanypa Japalyi, Andre Marais, Erika Charola and Felicity Meakins. Gurindji information was provided by Violet Wadrill Nanaku, Biddy Wavehill Yamawurr Nangala, Connie Ngarmeiye Nangala and Kitty Mintawurr Nanaku.
The work and publication costs were funded by the CLC. This project was also supported by Karungkarni Art, the School of Languages and Cultures at the University of Queensland and the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Dynamics of Language, and relied heavily on previous botanical identification work by Glenn Wightman.
